Ceramic Coating in New Hampshire
A hard, hydrophobic layer that makes salt, sand, and grime let go of your paint.
A ceramic coating is not wax and it is not a protective shell against rocks. It is a semi-permanent chemical layer that bonds to the clear coat and changes how the surface behaves: water sheets off instead of sitting, road film releases with far less effort, and the paint holds a deeper gloss than a wax ever will. In a state where your car spends four months coated in salt brine, that difference is practical, not cosmetic.
The result you actually notice is wash day. Grime that used to require serious agitation rinses off, and the finish stays cleaner between washes. Coating goes on paint, and it can also be applied over paint protection film for the best of both — impact protection underneath, chemical resistance and slickness on top. Wheels, glass, and trim can be coated as well.
Benefits
Why ceramic coating is worth it
Hydrophobic surface
Water beads and sheets off, carrying dirt and salt with it instead of drying into spots.
Easier washing
Road film and brake dust release with less agitation, which means fewer wash-induced swirls.
Deep, durable gloss
A harder, more reflective finish than wax, and it does not wash away in a month.
Chemical and UV resistance
Helps defend clear coat against road salt, bug acids, bird droppings, and oxidation.
Years, not weeks
Professionally applied coatings last for years with basic maintenance, unlike wax.
Works over PPF and glass
Can be applied to paint, film, wheels, and windshields.
What to expect
How the project runs
- 01
Wash and decontamination
Full wash, iron removal, and clay to strip embedded contaminants from the clear coat.
- 02
Paint correction
Machine polishing to remove swirls and defects — because a coating locks in whatever is under it.
- 03
Coating application
Applied panel by panel in a controlled environment and leveled by hand.
- 04
Cure and maintenance plan
The coating needs cure time before it gets wet. We hand off simple maintenance guidance at pickup.
Film options
XPEL films we install for this
XPEL FUSION PLUS Ceramic Coating
Nano-ceramic coating for paint with strong hydrophobics, gloss, and chemical resistance.
FUSION PLUS for PPF & Vinyl
Formulated to bond to paint protection film and wraps, keeping film slick and easier to clean.
Wheel, Glass & Trim Coatings
Dedicated formulations for brake-dust resistance on wheels and water repellency on glass.
FAQ
Common questions
Does ceramic coating prevent rock chips?
No. Only paint protection film stops impact damage. Coating is a chemical and appearance layer — the two are complementary.
Do I still have to wash the car?
Yes, but it gets much easier and the car stays clean longer between washes.
How long does it last?
Years rather than weeks, depending on the product and how the vehicle is maintained. We will give you a realistic expectation for your package.
Is paint correction required first?
Strongly recommended. A coating locks in the finish underneath, including any swirls you did not remove first.
