Is security film bulletproof?
No. It is a delay-and-containment product. It buys time and keeps glass in the frame, which is what defeats most opportunistic entry attempts.
How much time does it actually buy?
That depends on glass, thickness, and whether an attachment system is used. We will not quote a number, but the difference between one hit and repeated failed hits is the whole point.
Do I need the frame attachment system?
For the highest performance, yes. Without it, film holds the glass together but the whole pane can eventually be pushed out of the frame.
Will it change how my windows look?
Clear safety film is visually undetectable. If you choose a combined solar film, you will see the tint level you selected.
