Home Window Tinting in New Hampshire
Whole-home window film that makes every room usable again — without replacing a single window.
Most New Hampshire homes have two or three rooms nobody wants to sit in. The west-facing living room that becomes unbearable at 4pm. The bonus room over the garage that the heat pump can never catch up to. The sunroom that cooked the finish off the dining table. Home window tinting solves those rooms directly at the glass, for a fraction of what replacement windows cost, and it works on the windows you already own.
We install XPEL residential film on single-pane, double-pane, and low-E glass. Every job starts with a walkthrough of the actual house, because the right film for a lakefront wall of glass is not the right film for a street-facing bedroom. If your issue is specifically heat, start with heat and glare reduction. If it is fading hardwood and furniture, see UV and fade protection. Most whole-home projects end up as a mix, and we price it room by room so you can phase the work if you want to.
Benefits
Why home window tinting is worth it
Rejects infrared heat
Spectrally selective film targets the invisible wavelengths that carry heat, so a room can cool down without going dark.
Evens out the house
Rooms that used to run five to ten degrees hotter than the rest of the house track closer to the thermostat.
Blocks 99% of UV
The main driver of fading is removed on day one, protecting floors, rugs, art, and cabinetry.
Kills afternoon glare
TV rooms and home offices become usable at the exact hours you actually want to use them.
Can help reduce cooling costs
Less solar heat gain means the AC and heat pumps stop short-cycling through the hottest part of the day.
Keeps the view
Near-clear options treat picture windows with no mirrored look from the street.
What to expect
How the project runs
- 01
In-home consultation
We walk the house, note which elevations cause the problems, and measure every opening you are considering.
- 02
Film selection on your glass
We hold samples against your actual windows in daylight so you see the real shade and reflectivity before ordering.
- 03
Clean, protected install
Floors and sills get covered, glass is deep-cleaned, and film is cut and fit on site. Most homes are done in a day.
- 04
Cure and warranty
Film hazes slightly for a few days while it cures, then clears. Your XPEL residential warranty is registered before we leave.
Film options
XPEL films we install for this
XPEL VISION Ceramic Series
The workhorse for most homes. Strong heat rejection with a neutral, non-reflective look that reads as clean glass from outside.
XPEL VISION Clear / Nearly Clear
For homeowners who cannot accept any visible change. Blocks UV and a large share of infrared with essentially no tint.
XPEL VISION Dual Reflective
Higher rejection with daytime privacy, with a darker interior surface so you keep a clear view out instead of a mirror.
FAQ
Common questions
Will window film break my double-pane windows?
Not when it is spec'd correctly. We match film to your glass type and thickness so thermal stress stays inside safe limits, and the manufacturer warranty covers the glass.
How long does home window tinting last?
Quality residential film lasts decades indoors. XPEL residential film carries a lifetime warranty against bubbling, peeling, cracking, and color change.
Can I clean the windows normally?
Yes, after the cure period. Any ammonia-free glass cleaner and a soft cloth is all it needs — no special products.
Do I have to do the whole house at once?
No. Many customers start with the two or three worst rooms and phase the rest. We keep your film spec on file so later rooms match.
How much does it cost?
It depends on glass count, size, and film choice. We quote in person and the quote is free — there is no per-window guess over the phone.
